After the AMP Session: A Peace of My Mind
Presenting Nonprofit Update
Nine Months Later: A Peace of My Mind
What happens after a nonprofit presents at an AMP Session? For A Peace of My Mind, one question sparked months of collaboration, new clarity and significant growth.
In January 2026, John Noltner, Founder and Executive Director of A Peace of My Mind, came to an AMP Session with a question:
The Amplify community came alongside John with ideas, expertise and connections to help move that question forward.
Amplify coaches helped John strengthen the organization’s messaging and communicate its impact more effectively. They also helped A Peace of My Mind better demonstrate that impact, including supporting a survey of people the organization had served. The survey provided meaningful feedback and data about why the work matters and the difference it was making in people’s lives.
Together, stronger messaging and new impact data helped A Peace of My Mind tell a more compelling, evidence-based story as the organization pursued significant new funding.
A Significant Next Step
A Peace of My Mind was awarded a $250,000 grant from the McKnight Foundation.
Today, A Peace of My Mind—once a staff of one—is growing its team and its capacity to bring its work to more communities across the country.
Nine months later, John’s question about doing the work in bigger and bolder ways is becoming a reality.

This is what can happen when community shows up.
When the right people bring their experience and expertise around a nonprofit’s challenge, an organization can gain clarity, build capacity and become equipped to make an even greater impact.
