Amplify hosts Michael Jr.
Amplify hosts Michael Jr
Petey Crowder, Senior Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, set the tone for the evening as he opened in prayer and celebrated the work of Amplify, one of the church’s selected ministry partners.
Keri Noble, the musical guest and emcee for the evening, opened with her song “Softer Place to Land.” She shared her personal unexpected journey from full-time singer/songwriter to vocal teacher and likened it to the work at Amplify. It was because of the ideas from others in her network that new possibilities were sparked for her!
Michael Jr. had the audience crying tears of joy with his comedy, but he also brought depth and meaning to the night as he invited guests to remember their why, using comedy as a metaphor. “Everybody knows their set up, but not everybody knows their punchline. It’s a game changer when you identify your why and give from the heart. Are you willing to show up and deliver your punch line?”
As the evening wrapped up, Julie Eide, President of Amplify, shared about the impact of Amplify on business leaders and ministries in our communities over the past year. She invited guests to step into God’s work at Amplify through financial partnership and active participation. Reciting commentary from N.T. Wright, Julie described the joy partners and ministries experience as they show up ready to give and receive. “It’s part of genuine Christian service, at whatever level, that we look on with amazement to see what God has done with the bits and pieces we dug out of our meager resources to offer to Him.”
Following the event, guests enjoyed delicious treats provided by Amplify partner Rustica Bakery and supported ministry vendors, Wildflyer Coffee, Fair Anita, XOXO, God, and Hope Farm School.
Through the generous gifts at this event, $78,000 was raised to advance the mission of Amplify! Thank you once again to our presenting sponsor Tradition Capital Bank, our headline sponsor PRMG, and all businesses, organizations and individuals who gave so generously.
