Coated in Love exists to serve people experiencing homelessness with dignity and care. As the organization grew, so did the opportunities — and the challenges that come with leading a growing nonprofit.
Danielle didn’t need more passion for the mission. She needed people who could come alongside her.

Growth takes more than a great idea.
Through AMP Academy, coaching relationships and strategic connections within the Amplify community, Danielle gained access to something nonprofit leaders often need but can struggle to find: trusted people willing to share their experience and expertise.
That support began creating tangible change within Coated in Love.
The organization added a board member and key partners, developed a collaboration with the University of Minnesota and built a recurring donor base — strengthening both its leadership and its financial sustainability.

As Coated in Love has grown stronger, its ability to mobilize volunteers and serve people experiencing homelessness has grown right along with it.
These aren’t simply growth statistics. Each represents greater capacity for Coated in Love to fulfill its mission.
Today, a growing community has rallied around Coated in Love’s work. Along the way, partners have provided donated coats and hats, the organization has more than doubled its reach, and Danielle has reached an important milestone for long-term sustainability: being able to take a salary for the work she leads.
And the impact continues to grow. Coated in Love is preparing to expand into St. Paul, bringing that same dignity, care and community of support to even more people.
