June 25th Group Meeting

Tuesday, June 25th
5:00 p.m.

christ presbyterian church

Join us on Tuesday, June 25th for food, fellowship, and fun!

Join us as we amplify two local organizations, Upper Room and Disability Support International. Each organization will share a 15 minute presentation outlining a challenge or opportunity their organization is facing. You will then have 30 minutes to brainstorm in small groups, sharing ideas, and offering connections to amplify their work.

Jordan Michael
, vocalist, theater actor, and author will kick off our meeting bringing selections from his extensive catalog of big band, Broadway, and classic hits. His smooth vocals fill the room with energy wherever he performs. Diagnosed as a child with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Jordan has never let his ‘different ability’ keep him from sharing his love of music with others. He is the author of “Things I Know – My Disability Does Not Define Me,” a book of his own photography paired with personal life reflections and encouragement for others living with disability.

Mark Hirschfeld, Amplify Partner and Vice President of Consulting Services at BI WORLDWIDE, is bringing you a powerful impact story in June he calls “The Tale of Two Ropes”, a story of the journey he and his family have had over the past twenty-five years in living with, loving and supporting folks with disabilities. Part of this tale is, through Amplify, meeting Duane Wyatt, founder of Morse Code Youth Outreach. It’s a story of friendship and collaboration that highlights what Amplify is all about – the powerful ripples of impact that occur when Amplify partners and nonprofit leaders collect and collaborate!  You will be inspired and challenged to consider how your unique gifts and skills might be used for good in our community. You’re also in for a treat with morse code demonstrations being offered by Duane at this meeting!
