Amplify's President Receives TeamWomen WaveMaker Award

october 7, 2022
Julie Eide, President of Amplify Mission Network, was honored at TeamWomen's 7th annual WaveMaker Awards on Thursday, October 6th. The ceremony was held at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley, recognizing the contributions of 21 women who are making waves of impact in the community.

Eide was nominated by Mary Steiber Reynhout, an Amplify partner and previous recipient of the TeamWomen WaveMaker award. Eide was recognized as one of this year's Outstanding Mentors for her contributions in making a profound impact on the trajectory and advancement of other women's careers through mentorship.

Eide shared, "Before I was nominated I had never heard of TeamWomen, but after meeting the women in the room last night, they are more than Wave Makers. They are like a tsunami with the collective experiences and impact they bring! It was an honor to be among this group of women."

Emcee Alicia Lewis, morning reporter with Kare11, asked Eide to share what leadership advice she would give to others. Eide recounted the profound impact exploratory leadership principles have played in how she mentors and leads. “How do you eat the whale?," Eide asked. "One bite at a time. Daily, I try to encourage my team to take the next small step, then pause to evaluate, adjust, and take the next small step.”

Joining Eide as Honorees in the Outstanding Mentor category are Pat Wright, founder of Hello Cookie, Roslyn Harmon, Executive Director of Dispute Resolution Center, Jennifer Roach, Director of Creative Services at SVL, Inc., and Chanda Smith Baker, SVP at The Minneapolis Foundation.

Thank you Julie for the many ways you use your position and influence to invest in and amplify so many young leaders in Amplify's network and beyond.
