March AMP Session Recap

“Are we making room for God to work in ways only He can?”

Our March AMP Session began with a powerful message from guest speaker Nick Cocalis, Lead Campus Pastor at Bethel University. Nick challenged the room to consider where we might be relying on our own strength instead of God’s power.

Through personal stories—leaving his job, stepping into the unknown, and even witnessing God work through a physical healing miracle—Nick reminded us that when we make space for God to move, He often works in ways beyond what we could imagine.

The invitation was simple, but profound:

Are we creating space in our lives, leadership, and work for God to move in ways only He can?

That spirit of openness carried directly into the conversations that followed.

This month, we had the privilege of hearing from two incredible nonprofit leaders serving our community: Jonny Nelson of JSAW and Renée Boehme of Corrie’s House.

Two ministries. Two courageous leaders. One room full of people ready to help move their missions forward.

JSAW, led by Executive Director Jonny Nelson, is transforming action sports culture by building relationships with skateboard, snowboard, and wakeboard athletes and guiding them through a disciple-making journey modeled by Jesus.

Corrie’s House, led by Executive Director Renée Boehme, provides a licensed crisis shelter and healing environment for girls ages 12–17 who are at risk of or have experienced sexual exploitation—helping them rebuild their lives through therapy, education, and life-skills development.

Business leaders across the room leaned in, offering wisdom, experience, and encouragement to help these organizations strengthen their next steps.
